Who is the designer ?
All of the pieces of Old World
Creations are designed by Mimi, who has been known, since 1980, in the wholesale
giftware industry for her extensive line of hand painted metal décor, hand cut
from recycled steel 55 gallon drums.
More recently, she introduced a very successful line of ornate stained
glass accessories, featuring exquisite jewelry boxes and a beautiful line of stained glass sun-catchers. All of
these lines have been sold in fine gift stores throughout the United States, the Caribbean and
Europe.
How are the hand
painted metal items made?
After the designing of the piece, a
pattern is made up. These designs are then traced on to flattened recycled 55
gallon steel drums and hand cut by skilled artisans with hammer and chisel. We
do not use the thin tin sheet metal that is found on much of the other metal
art-work on the market today. All of the details are hammered out to create
texture and a rounded life-like appearances. They are treated with a rust
preventative paint and then carefully hand painted in the design that you see.
All pieces are finished with a protective coat of polyurethane varnish. We
strive toward realism and do our best to keep the quality of our designs up to a
high level that we are proud to sell, you are proud to present in your shop and
your customer is proud to display in their home.
Hand-crafted and
hand-painted items may vary slightly in color and in details when compared to
photographed samples shown on our website. We do our best to keep items as close
as possible to our original samples.
How are the sun-catchers
made?
The finest quality of American made stained glass is used in
the creating of the sun-catchers. Each individual piece of glass within the
design is carefully hand-cut and ground down to assure it fitting perfectly into place. The Tiffany copper foil technique is used in
soldering all of these multiple glass pieces together. By this, we mean, that
each piece of glass is hand wrapped in copper foil. these pieces are then
soldered together to make up the design. A finishing touch of extremely
attractive decorative solder work is then applied. The finished piece is then
polished to perfection for your enjoyment.

How does one care for
the stained glass ?
Just wipe with a damp cloth
and polish. On occasion you can polish the glass and the silver soldering work
with a coat of most any brand of auto polish. Just apply a light
coat over the entire piece and polish it with a dry soft cloth. This will
brighten the piece and remove any fingerprints. Then sit back and
enjoy!
What about credit card payments
?
We accept all major
credit cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
These options are shown or your order form. All of this is done over our secure
server. If you would rather, you may call our office at

What are the payment options ?
Payment can
be made by credit card. We are no longer establishing new Net 30 accounts. Established customers of Old World Creations may
continue with whatever form of payment they have been using in the past.
Do you have a minimum order ?
Minimum orders are only $100.
How do you deal with
past due accounts?
Past due
accounts are subject to a late charge of 1.5% per month. If collection becomes
necessary, customer agrees to pay interest, collection costs and attorney fees.
Future orders would no longer be on a Net 30
basis. Should any order that has been given a discount or special promotional
benefit become past due, all discounts and other benefits will be forfeited. We
certainly hope this situation does not occur.
What are the company
shipping & return policies ?
All products are shipped from Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida.
Please inspect the contents of each
package as soon as it arrives to confirm no damage has occurred.
In the event you determine that the
product is not what you ordered or you see visible damage, please follow these
steps.

Save all original packaging
materials and boxes to repack for return. We will arrange a pick-up and
replacement.
We ask that you consider your order
placement carefully to help minimize incorrect orders, as we charge a 10%
restocking fee for returns that are not based on a mistake made by Old World
Creations.
All orders are normally shipped within 1 - 3 weeks of receipt of the order, quite often,
sooner.
We accept Visa, Master Card,
Discover and American Express as forms of credit card payment. We will process
your payment only at the time of shipment.
